Crazy Things Happening in Football

Yesterday Night of Champions league football was a night of the impossible as it is being said in popular series The flash. Liverpool beat Manchester city 2:1 to progress into the semi finals of the UEFA Champions league and to also set a record as the only team to beat a team managed by Pep Guardiola
three (3) times in a single season. It was a night when the man of the Moment: Mohammed Salah showed once again why he is the star man for Liverpool as he netted the equalizing goal before Roberto Firmino netted the winner.
Else where, Kostas Manolas sent Roma through to the semi-finals of the Champions League after an incredible 3-0 victory over Barcelona at the Stadio Olimpico on Tuesday which saw them overhaul a 4-1 first-leg deficit and advance on away goals.
The superb Edin Dzeko set the ball rolling in the sixth minute, and after Daniele De Rossi converted a penalty 13 minutes after the break to get the home fans believing, Manolas glanced home a brilliant header with eight minutes left to send the Roma supporters into raptures and leave Barca wondering what had hit them. 

This is why football is the most interesting sport. We hope to see more of the impossible in today's Champions league clashes. Stay tuned.

Jonathan assures Nigerians of Security

President Jonathan assured Nigerians yesterday that no town will ever be captured by Boko haram in Nigeria again. The president spoke in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital, during his presidential campaign. He said "The federal government will resist any attempt by the Boko Haram terrorists to take control of any town or village within the country again". According to him, the federal government is committed to ending the insurgency and expressed happiness that the insurgents had been wiped out of the state. 'As I speak, I am so happy to announce that Yobe has been freed of Boko Haram as all territories earlier under the control of the sect members have been recaptured by our able troops and we will henceforth resist any attempt by the sect members or any group to take control of any territory again. 'It is unfortunate that our brothers and sisters have turned mad against us and have left us with these sad memories,'.
