Zamfara appoints four officials to write the State's history

Zamfara Government has assigned four professors and one doctor to put write a book form of the history of Zamfara state.
The state’s Commissioner of Budget and Planning, Alhaji Ibrahim Birnin-Magaji, made
the disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday, on preparations to mark the 20th year anniversary
of the state since its creation.
He said the professors would be led on the assignment by a professor of history at the
Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria and an indigene of the state, Prof. Kabir Suleiman.
This is on account that there is no written documentation or the state's history apart from the one written years ago by Garba Duba

Borno State Gov't to pay WAEC fees

Borno state government is planning to pay the registration fees of the WAEC and NECO examinations for the Senior Secondary School Students, who are graduating later this year, the Commissioner for Education, Barrister Isa Buratai has said. He said in order to reduce the hardship being experienced by parents of the studens, who are mostly farmers and their means of living has been shattered by insurgence The Commissioner, who spoke during a courtesy call paid on him at his office by the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT), Borno state chapter, said parents may however be asked to pay 25% of the total cost of the registration fees
