CHAPTER TEN

 (ENJOY EVERY RIDE)

"What does your dad do?" Tyrus gluped down the rest of the content in his glass before answering her arrogantly.

"My dad is a business man, he owns an oil company and three shopping arcades." 

"How are your step siblings treating you now?" Frida asked to hurt his pride and diminish his arrogance.

She knew how he was being treated by his siblings, they didn't consider him family' and they always avoided him. He's dad was always busy going on business trips so he has no idea of what happens to his son at home.

"I know you are miserable but don't try to make everyone around you feel the same way." Frida said to Tyrus when he couldn't respond and he stared at her quietly.

"I am not miserable, you know nothing about me so don't try to act like you do." Tyrus said to Frida and she felt bad.

"Hey, don't you dare speak to her like that, she is a good mother." That was Barbie defending her honey bunny.

"You ask her, kids are meant to be in their mother's care but did she ever bother to demand that my dad leaves me in her custody, no she didn't, now she's trying to act like a mother." Tyrus said to Barbie his voice rising in anger at every word.

Barbie tried to speak again but Frida stopped her. Dashay was quiet, she thought only she felt neglected by their mom but clearly someone else felt the same way. She began to feel sad for Tyrus who continued drinking his wine with rage, he even picked up the bottle and drank from it instead of the glass cup.

Zephan stared from the side of his eyes, he was also lost in his own thoughts, it felt as if everyone had one thing or the other going through their minds.

"Who wants to play a game?" Dashay asked when she saw how everyone was busy with one thing or the other ignoring themselves. 

Kamala was busy kissing Wendy as always, her mom was watching funny videos on her phone and Barbie was giggling by her side, Tyrus was busy on his phone, Zephan was busy reading a book about magical realism and Autry was watching a movie on his phone with Cleona.

"No thank you." Zephan answered and continued reading his book.

"No baby, I am really enjoying this skits." Frida said and laughed loudly when she saw something funny.

"What about you Autry?" Dashay asked him and he answered.

"This movie is really interesting, I have wanted to watch it for a long while now." 

"Tyrus!" She called gently and turn towards him. He wanted to decline but for some reason, he saw the loneliness Dashay felt in her eyes, he was also lonely but he knew exactly how to hide it.

"Yes, let's play." He said to her and she jumped for joy.

"Come sit." She said and patted the floor.

He kept his phone on the couch and went to her, he sat down next to her and she showed him the game she wanted them to play.

"Charades, nice but would have been better if we were more than two." Tyrus said looking around them.

"Don't worry, it will still be fun." Dashay assured and he smiled at her confidence.

They started writing out movies titles, songs, books and other topics making it six categories on slips to act out.

"Since there's only the two of us, here is the rule. The person performing the action will be timed and if you fail to get the action, it means I have failed in making you understand therefore I get zero and you play next." Dashay said and Tyrus agreed.

"Let's start, you go first." Tyrus said to Dashay and she went towards him and picked out a slip from the title bowl. She chuckled after seeing what was written on the slip.

She raised two fingers up and Tyrus said.

"Two words." And she nodded before putting her hands on her lips like a microphone.

"A song." Tyrus said and she nodded, and then she started singing the song without making a sound, Tyrus stared closely at her lips to read them.

"Made." He said aloud and she nodded, and then continued moving her lips for him to understand.

"Made for me, by Muni Long." Tyrus suddenly yelled.

"Yes, you got it." Dashay said happily.

"You've got yourself a point, now my turn." Tyrus said and got up for her sit.

They continued playing their game and the excitement with which they played caught the attention of the others, Zephan was the first to join them.
