CHAPTER FOUR

       (SEEING CHANGES)

"Hey, don't be like that Dashay. I have something important to tell my honey." Barbie said also upset.

"She is my mom not some stupid honey." Dashay yelled at Barbie, furious.

"Dashay stop, don't be rude." Frida yelped at her.

"What? Is trying to speak to my mom being rude?" Dashay asked getting offended, she saw how her mom stared at her and couldn't stand it, and so she walked away.

"Dashay, Dashay get back here." Firda yelled at her but she just walked away without looking back.

"Honey, did I do something wrong?" Barbie asked in a sad tone and Frida immediately went close to comfort her with a kiss.

"No you didn't, Dashay is just being a spoilt child." Frida said and gave her a hug.

School was enjoyable and so the weekend came in fast, Dashay was a bit sad because she wouldn't see her friends for two days.

"I will miss you two." Dashay said to them, Dante and Aaliyah looked at each other and chuckled.

"We will be apart for just two days Dashay." Aaliyah said surprised by her new friend action.

"Two days? more like two years." Dashay said and smiled to make her friends stop staring at her weirdly.

"Don't worry, on Monday I promise to get you a really nice gift." Dante promised.

"What! Why?" Dashay asked surprised and Dante answered.

"Because you deserve it." 

"I love you two a lot." Dashay said and they all hugged each other.

Dashay didn't want to get home quickly and so she strolled around a bit before going home, she got herself ice cream, popcorn and a cotton candy, and she ate them all by the Peace Monument at Piedmont Park.

When she got tired, she took the subway and went home. Dashay opened the front gate and noticed two other cars parked in their driveway.

"Do we have guests?" She asked happily, it been a long time they had guests over, well far too long.

She opened the door and walked into the house. On their couch in the sitting room, she saw a young man and a young lady kissing each other while talking and giggling.

"You do know we are not allowed to do this here right?" The lady said and the man said to her before kissing her again.

"Don't worry, you do know that this is my house." 

They continued with their kissing and hugging without noticing Dashay until she asked.

"Who are you people and what are you doing in my house?" They stopped, startled and stared at Dashay shockingly.

"Who are you?" The man managed to ask.

"What? Are you really questioning me in my own house?" Dashay asked responding with another question.

"Your house? This is my house too." The man said to her making faces that annoyed Dashay a lot.

Dashay! She heard her mom call and she saw her walk towards them with a smile.

"I see you two have met." Frida said and then introduced them to each other.

"Dashay meet Autry and that is Cleona his best friend, and Autry meet Dashay." 

"Just friends and they are kissing each other and being all mushy?" Dashay asked.

"Kissing each other?" Frida repeated the question confused.

"Oh mom, I am sure DASHAY didn't see what happened clearly. She's just misinterpreting our closeness." Autry quickly said to cover himself up.

"Mom?" Dashay said, she didn't know why this stranger was calling her mom his mom.

"Dashay, that's your older brother." Frida said.

"Which one?" Dashay asked bluntly and Frida explained in a better way.

"The one I had with Cante Ervan, my third son and fourth child." 

"It's Autry Ervan, nice to meet your acquaintance Dashay Elios Dontrell." Autry said formally as if meeting a business partner.

"Why is he here? I thought you said he is in France studying law." Dashay said ignoring Autry.

"Rude." Autry whispered to himself.

"Yes I did but he came home for a two weeks vacation." Frida said to Dashay.

"So he will be here with his friend stroke girlfriend in this house for two weeks? And what vacation are you talking about?" Dashay asked and scoffed to everyone's surprise.

"He won't be staying here, you are all going to a private island for the vacation." Frida said making it worse for Dashay.

"Island, I am loving this." Autry said beaming with excitement.

"Why are you acting like she didn't tell us, isn't that why you came though?" Cleona said casually, she didn't realize that she has exposed Autry 's intentions, he stared at her angrily, and when she noticed, she quickly shut up.
